VST 63×100

Support profile for sills and sliding systems

VST 63×100 profile
VST 63×100 in a window assembly
Cross-section dimensions of VST 63×100

Description

VST 63×100 has a 100 mm mounting height at a width of 63 mm. It is calculated for door sills and sliding systems, where the lower joint is taller and the load spreads differently than under a window.

Application

As a support profile in PVC and aluminium translucent structures, for the arrangement of a thermal barrier under door sills, sliding systems and window frames.

Frequently asked questions

The first number in the article code is the width of the thermal-break support profile, and it follows the mounting depth of the profile system. The manufacturer draws the lower joint for every system and shows there which size fits it. Check your system on the compatibility page before ordering.
A bar is 1200 mm. The working length, after the mounting allowance, is 1180 mm, and that is the figure the requirement per opening is calculated from. All 9 sizes ship in the same length; only the cross section differs.
Water absorption is 0.5 % after long-term immersion, measured to EN 13163. It matters more here than in the wall field: condensate and moisture from wet trades collect at the lower joint, and the material sits under the frame for the service life of the window.
Class E, to EN 13501-1. The value is the same across every size because the material is the same. An element class does not describe the assembly: fire safety requirements for a project are checked on the whole joint, together with the window and the surrounding insulation.
The code EPS-EN 13163-CS(10)1900-WL(T)0.5 is the EPS designation under EN 13163. It names the material, the standard, the compressive strength at 10% deformation and the water absorption after long-term immersion, the same values as the specification table, written in the form CE marking requires. It compares directly with another manufacturer's designation.
